phs Greenleaf injected a burst of natural greenery into a dark corner of the West End when it worked with a London interior design agency on an office redesign in the city.
RISE Interiors appointed phs Greenleaf to support them during an office redesign project for a client on Endell Street in London’s West End. Whilst they were working on the office’s interior design, phs Greenleaf was tasked with breathing new life into the narrow, dark office entrance below street level.
Down the steps from the street, the office entrance was next to a bare, tall grey brick wall which did not offer the warm, uplifting welcome the client wanted for their new-look office.
phs Greenleaf designed a stunning nine metre tall, 1.8 metre wide living wall and filled the space with fresh green plants, creating a clean, healthy feeling environment to greet visitors.
As the space did not allow for much natural light, the team had to carefully select hardy plants which could still thrive in low light conditions. Over 550 plants were packed into the wall, including Asplenium Scolopendrium, Carex 'Evergold', Dryopteris Erythrosora Brilliance and Helleborus Foetidus.
A stackable PlantBox system was used, made from 100% recycled polypropylene.
